Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join our team for a contract position with the Fresno Unified School Districts. As a School Social Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being and academic success of students by providing valuable support services.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with school staff and families to assess students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address students' personal and social challenges.
- Develop and implement intervention plans to support students' emotional and social development.
- Assist in crisis intervention and management as necessary.
- Work with teachers and administrators to create a positive and inclusive school environment.
- Provide resources and referrals to external agencies and community services when appropriate.
- Advocate for students' needs and rights within the school system.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records and progress reports.

Qualifications:

- Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure in the state of California.
- Previous experience in a school setting or with school-aged children is preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Passion for working with diverse student populations and promoting their well-being.
