Organization & Role
Teradyne is looking for an experienced Software Architect that can work within a team to design custom and generic software architectures or solutions that meet the needs of our customers. This requires you to be comfortable working directly with customers and our customer facing teams. During these exchanges, you will be expected to investigate requirements, synthesize account needs, and tap into Teradyne’s subject matter expertise when necessary. Each problem can be different requiring knowledge in various technologies. It will be necessary to quickly develop your skills on new technologies and leverage your experience for understanding when other resources should be pulled in to assist. As you mature the architecture or solution design, you will interact and support project teams that will be responsible for implementation, deployment, and maintenance.
You will be a critical technical resource working in a dynamic cross-functional team. You will be an essential resource, which will host discussions as a factory applications software engineer regarding automation, pipelining and data analytics.
You must be a self-driven, excellent communicator who is capable of both leading and participating in technical discussions with an exceptional issue triaging and task prioritization skill. You’re an innovative thinker who is not afraid to fail and someone who is passionate about automating away everyday mundane tasks.
Responsibilities
Working closely with Test Applications development teams, this full-time role will involve:
+ Assisting internal customers(applications teams worldwide) on essential tools used in test engineering & SW development
+ Virtualization Infrastructure - Configuring, maintaining, and monitoring CI/CD pipelines automation
+ DevOps Shared Libraries – supports automation, DevOps for test and DevSecOps
+ Participating in various tools, data, and build infrastructure for new applications SW projects
+ Assist with implementation of security stages
+ Implement security scan architecture – static code analysis, software composition analysis, artifactory new mgmt. system
+ Create a packaging system for leverage of reuse
+ Bring-up & maintenance of Jenkins and Ansible Servers
+ Working with IT to solve issues & create solutions
+ Cloud solutions
+ Engaging with IT/Microsoft
+ Collaboration with SW Engineering
+ Customer collaboration architecture requirements
+ Cloud or On-Prem
+ On-Site service for the customer
+ Help customer implement DevOps for test infrastructure
+ Includes working with customers IT Dept.
+ Extending our business opportunities
+ Participate on a team which identifies future technology roadmaps
+ Continuous efforts on self-growth/improvement and keeping up with modern technologies
+ Identify future opportunities for Dashboards re: data analytics
Basic Qualifications & Skills
+ Working knowledge in GitHub, Jira, Artifactory, Ansible, Azure, VMWare, Bitbucket
+ Strong build automation/orchestration experiences on Jenkins
+ Proven experience with SQL – MySQL, Python, Perl, PowerShell, Bash, Batch
+ Experience developing with C#, Java
+ Working knowledge of Windows and Linux administration
+ Troubleshoot capabilities for loss of connectivity, firewalls, network traffic & performance
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Self-motivated, proactive, and ability to work remotely with minimal supervision
