DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Mainframe Developer, Technical Project Manager, Technical Lead, Programmer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Building REST and SOAP APIs using Java stack on cloud environment using relational and NoSQL databases; Developing Microservices systems with Java and Spring framework; Building Salesforce solutions leveraging standard configurations and custom code to include Visual Force and Apex; Using CI/CD Tools including GITHub, Jenkins and Bitbucket to build, test and promote code to higher environments; Databases including DB2, IMS, VSAM, and Cassandra; Agile tools such as Jira and Rally to track the work; Development toolsets including CHGMAN for version control; Zeke and Control M for Scheduling; CA-View for Scheduling; Performing database reads and updates using File-Aid; Debugging using Expeditor; Deploying and tracking changes using ServiceNow; Building dashboards using Splunk; Building dashboards using Dynatrace; Designing and coding using IBM Mainframe including COBOL; Designing and coding using IBM Mainframe including CICS; Designing and coding using IBM Mainframe including PL1; Designing and coding using IBM Mainframe including MQ; Designing and coding using IBM Mainframe including PL SQL; Designing and coding using IBM Mainframe including Stored Procedures; and Designing and coding using IBM Mainframe including XML.
Job Location: 8181 Communications Parkway, Plano, TX 75024. This position requires 5% domestic travel. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
