AARP’s Integrated Communications and Marketing (ICM) Group includes Membership, Content and Editorial, Customer Experience, External Relations, Brand Strategy and Strategic Communications. Across paid, earned, shared and owned channels, ICM manages AARP’s reputation, drives engagement and member growth, and showcases AARP’s mission and value through one, integrated voice.
The Solution Architect, Artificial Intelligence analyzes and defines business requirements to determine specifications and standards. Deploys and oversees implementation and integration of cloud-based applications, ensuring that appropriate information security standards are met. Collaborates with management to identify opportunities to streamline technology processes and to develop new procedures that support the business unit/department.
Responsibilities
- Manages all aspects of web infrastructure security, priorities, and ongoing departmental cyber security work. Proposes and develops solutions.
- Administers all aspects of web infrastructure including architecture, operations, troubleshooting, and automation.
- Responds to and solves critical security incidents in real time to protect the organization’s members and brand.
- Configures, administers, and maintains the Pivotal Cloud Foundry application platform.
- Evaluates, tests, and implements new security infrastructure solutions/technologies.
- Develops, documents, and evangelizes infrastructure security best practices and guidelines.
- Collaborates and partners with Information Security to ensure highest level of security for infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience with consumer-facing Java web development.
- Hands-on experience with Generative and Predictive AI frameworks.
- 5+ years in a Tech Lead or a Solution Architect position.
- 5 years of AWS or equivalent cloud architecture experience.
- 5 years with REST web service development, and 5+ years as a solutions architect responsible for enterprise-scale projects.
- Proven experience in designing and building maintainable automation solutions for delivering on large-scale platforms.
- Experience with Personalization and other elements of MarTech.

Hybrid Work Environment
AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as remote workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work can only be done within the United States and its territories.
