Work Arrangement: Onsite Mon-Thurs during training period (first 6-8 weeks); potential for hybrid work upon manager's discretion, with onsite requirement of 3+ days a week

Job Summary:
As a Sourcing Specialist II, you will manage the supply base to ensure supplier alignment with the four sourcing priorities: Delivery, Quality, New Product Integration, and Cost Competitiveness
You will also coordinate resources and schedules across teams to support production vehicles, collaborating with the commodity team to execute established strategies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Leadership:
Lead coordination across departments to support vehicle development, launch, production, and support from multiple facilities.
Supplier Relations:
Operate within established supplier relationships, communicating concerns and opportunities.
Support cost recovery initiatives, problem resolution, and supplier corrective action plans.
Assist in supplier contract development and implementation.
Contribute to assessing supplier capability and alignment with commodity strategy.
Implement cost reduction projects, manage supplier exits, and coordinate tool transitions.
Oversee cost, scheduling, and technical details, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Manage cost changes, assign suppliers, and support sourcing projects.
Prepare requests for quotes and proposals aligned with commodity strategy.
Coordinate component releases and design changes with suppliers.
Ensure tooling meets cost and quality requirements, negotiating tooling costs with global suppliers.
Sourcing Priority Management:
Perform cost analysis and execute approved cost reduction projects, tracking in VIP.
Collaborate with suppliers to resolve pricing and invoice discrepancies.
Support supplier quality initiatives, aiding in root cause analysis and countermeasure activities.
Drive supplier performance for quality and delivery, managing part shortages and delivery issues as needed.
Track supplier lead-times and capacity improvements to maintain schedule flexibility.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
APICS CPIM and/or ISM C.P.M./A.P.P
certification desired.
2+ years of purchasing or relevant experience (e.g., sales, engineering).
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Strong negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated leadership with effective cross-team collaboration.
Proven tactical and project execution skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication across teams.
Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities.
Professionalism in supplier relationship management.
Competency in interpreting engineering documentation.
Fundamental knowledge of MAPICS MRP and web-based business systems preferred.
Presentation skills, including PowerPoint development, with the ability to present to sourcing leadership.
Familiarity with project management tools and ability to assist in project tasks.
Working Conditions:
Fast-paced office environment.
5-25% travel may be required.
