As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to assist our Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, delicious dishes. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a strong culinary background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and daily kitchen operations.
- Oversee and manage the kitchen staff, ensuring a smooth workflow and efficient operations.
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation.
- Must be able to create specials and new menu items to enhance the dining experience for our customers.
- Work collaboratively with the bakery and front of the house teams to create and implement menus that complement the overall dining experience.
- Maintain excellent daily communication with the bakery and front of the house teams to ensure pars, cohesiveness, and effective implementation of the menu.
- Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Be a self-motivator, bringing new and exciting ideas to the table and implementing them effectively.
- Assist in creating and implementing innovative and seasonal menu items.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in the culinary field.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, flavors, and current food trends.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with local and seasonal ingredients.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
