Position Summary:
This position will supervise all aspects the Employee Kitchen and Cafeteria including its staff. This position will create food menus, order product, cook, clean and adhere to all food safety regulations and stay within budgetary guidelines of the department. This position will act as the executive chef preparing meals for senior management and their clients.
*Essential Job Functions:
Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours. He/she must be able to lift approx. 45 lbs. and work in a hot kitchen to prepare meals
*Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- The chef will schedule, order product and prepare meals for approx. 300 employees.
- He/she must stay within the budgetary guidelines of the department.
- Participate in all food shows.
- Aid in the set up of the sales booth.
- Oversee the “culinary presentation”
- Assist sales reps with marketing the product
- Participate in all sales meetings.
- Train all sales reps with new product and its usefulness.
The four areas this position will be evaluated on will be the following:
Kitchen -Executive Chef -Food Shows -Marketing Representative
Qualifications:
Education: A culinary degree from an accredited college.
Experience: 7-10 years of experience working in the kitchen. A degree can substitute for experience.
