Job Description
Facilities Development and Management, Space Management Asset Management, seeks a Systems Analyst to develop and maintain databases; administer and troubleshoot software systems and integrations; and provide data analysis related to space management. This includes space inventory, space utilization, space visualization, and space data analytics in support of the academic community’s strategic planning. This position requires a self-motivated individual with the ability to multi-task and exercise considerable independent judgement and initiative.

Salary Range
$73,000 - $78,000 per year, commensurate experience and education. ASU offers a comprehensive benefits package with the State of Arizona.

Essential Duties
- Consult with customers to implement solutions relating to existing system policies, procedures, operations and technical systems
- Manage data downloading from the ASU Enterprise Data Warehouse system and prepares data for use by departmental users and customers; manipulates and prepares data to be uploaded to the ASU Enterprise Data Warehouse system
- Interact with Data Administration personnel to create, update, and maintain databases on the ASU Enterprise Data Warehouse system
- Analyze data sets to identify patterns, relationships, accuracy and currency of the data
- Develop solutions to meet customers’ specific needs
- Create, design and maintain databases such as geodatabases
- Develop rapport with various stakeholders; consult with stakeholders to discern their needs and provide solutions to improve their ability to gather necessary information, generate reports, visualize the data and improve overall productivity; including new system development, implementation and integration
- Integrate space data with ASU’s Enterprise GIS
- Implement solutions that leverage data collected and managed by other campus departments and outside groups
- Develop policies, systems, practices and procedures to ensure quality of space data; analyze and identify existing policies, systems, practices and procedures which can be improved and recommend appropriate changes to management
- Review data and systems to maintain integrity and to assist in problem resolution
- Prepare comprehensive reports and studies used for campus planning
- Consult with customers and coordinates the development of systems and procedure manuals
- Coordinate periodic reviews of current systems to ensure complete implementation; develop space management system solutions as technology and software advances
- Conduct interviews with various departments and customers during the information gathering phase of system development
- Coordinate and supervise initial implementation of new systems and assists with necessary training of customers to effect system changes
- Provide training for new and revised procedures as required
- Coordinate with University Facilities Records Management (UFRM) to develop, maintain and manage the interface between UFRM systems, processes and procedures through the ASU Enterprise GIS
DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology or related field AND two (2) years experience providing information technology services; OR, Six (6) years experience providing information technology services; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Certificates from recognized programs that indicate mastery of tools and techniques relevant to the assignment may substitute for up to six months experience.

Working Environment
- Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse.
- Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
- Occasionally participate in field work which requires accessing paved, rocky or uneven areas and exposure to dirt, dust, extreme temperatures and inclement weather.
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 20 pounds.
- Drive University vehicles/carts.

This position is located at the University Services Building, 1551 S. Rural Road, Tempe, AZ (on Rural Road south of Apache Blvd).
This position requires that you must possess a valid Arizona driver's license (minimum of Class D) upon employment and maintain throughout employment. Post-offer of employment, selected candidate must possess an acceptable driving record which is 5 or fewer points in the most recent 39 month period from date of hire.
