Description:
Seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in modernizing our transaction-based applications, working hands-on with Java, SpringBoot, Kafka, MongoDB, and Cloud technologies. This position involves majority of time coding but also requires strong communication and collaboration skills, as a good portion of this coding will be greenfield new development for new products and features.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
-Collaborate with multiple Scrum teams, including 20+ local team members as Hybrid-Onsite in Northern Phoenix location.
-Participate in Scrum ceremonies, pick up user stories, and deliver high-quality code.
-Assist in design and architecture, ensuring seamless integration and modernization of applications.
-Work on modernizing existing application platform, handling approximately 15 million transactions daily, as well as add/create new features entirely from scratch.
-Implement new code while maintaining legacy systems, focusing on greenfield development.
-Heavily utilize Kafka for Event Streaming, and MongoDB for data management.
-Java, SpringBoot, Kafka, MongoDB, eventual transition from proprietary Cloud solutions to AWS services, hence need *some* experience with Cloud deployment methods and CI/CD processes.
-Strong background in modernizing Java applications in high-volume environments, as well as prior experience writing new code from scratch.
-Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture and API integrations.
-Ability to deliver 8-10 User Story Points per Sprint (after initial ramp-up period).
-Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
