Speech Language Pathologist - Acute - Ascension

We Are Hiring:

 

• Department: Speech Therapy
• Schedule: PRN
• Hospital: Ascension St. Vincent's Clay County Hospital
• Location: Middleburg, FL
• PRN Rate: $50/hr.

Become a valued member of our rehab department providing evidenced based, compassionate care to
patients. Our team consists of physical and occupational therapists, speech language pathologists as well as rehab techs with a diverse range of skills and experience. Weekend and weekday availability.

What You Will Do:

Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech-language therapy.

• Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.
• Educate and counsel patient and family regarding treatment plans.
• Maintain clinical records and follows performance improvement recommendations.
• Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from speech therapy services.
• Provide information regarding appropriate support programs.

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certified Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Speech Language Pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
