Location: Various locations across North Carolina
Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders. They work with individuals across the life span to enhance their ability to communicate effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and swallowing assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
- Provide therapy to improve communication skills, including speech clarity and language comprehension.
- Educate patients and caregivers about communication strategies and techniques.
- Document patient progress and modify treatment as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or equivalent.
- State licensure as a speech-language pathologist.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
