Executive Recruiting Network is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist at a healthcare facility located in Flushing, NY
Pay Rate: $47.00 per hour.
Responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist
- Evaluate Residents and develop a treatment plan that will meet their needs.
- Choose activities that will help the Residents to carry out their daily works independently.
- Watch the Residents as they carry out the task given to them.
- Observe/Assess the progress of the Residents & prepare detailed progress reports.
- Help in rehabilitating Residents disabled because of injury, illness, or other problems.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment.
- Maintains Resident confidence by monitoring confidential information processing.
- Maintain documentation of Resident care services by auditing Resident & Dept. records.
- Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare teams & contributes to team effort.
- Provide quality SLP services, including evaluating patients, screening, initiating referrals, obtaining data and follow through with plan of care.
- Completes timely documentation including progress notes, screen reports, daily notes, and discharge summaries.
- Knowledgeable in short term and long term SLP care.
- Instruct patients as well as family members and staff in goals, progress, and appropriate therapeutic techniques.
- Ensures compliance with protocols and regulations.

Standard shift:
- 9am-5pm
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy Program.
- NYS SLP License & certificate of clinical competency
- Preferred knowledge of Rehab Optima
- Experience is a must.
- Experience with cognitive and dysphagia rehabilitation within a skilled nursing facility.
