NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.
Our NeuroRestorative facility located in Oxnard, CA, is a fully licensed JCAHO accredited Congregate Living Healthcare (CLHF) facility that specializes in brain, spinal cord and other life-altering injuries and medically-complex illnesses. We offer in-patient treatment in a residential home-like setting to individuals of all ages, which includes Neurorehabilitation, respite, post-acute, and sub-acute care. We offer a variety of services including amputee care, complex wound care, G- and J- tube feedings, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, multiple IV Antibiotic therapy, pulmonary care, social & recreational activities, and more.

Speech/Language Pathologist
+ Oxnard, CA
+ NeuroRestorative facility located on Teal Club Road
+ 10-bed facility; low patient ratios
+ CLHF (Congregate Living Health Facility)
+ In-patient subacute physical rehab
+ Per-diem position available
+ Available hours potentially up to 10 per week
+ Flexibility in scheduling hours/days of week
+ $60-$70/hour based on experience

+ Assess speech and language skills, development, articulation ability and voice and fluency disorders of individuals served.
+ Direct and administer speech therapy using techniques that assist in the rehabilitation of individuals with functional disabilities of speech, language, voice, and swallowing.
+ Review medical records, test and evaluate individuals served and develop therapy treatment plans.
+ Identify and develop intervention strategies.
+ Instruct individuals we serve, family members, and primary caregivers to insure the maintenance of or to achieve the ideal functioning level for each person served.
+ Insure effective coordination of individual’s served home care services.
Setting and Rehab Team
+ Treat patients in an inpatient setting
+ Develop treatment plans focused on community independence and functional outcomes.
+ Strong focus on cognitive rehabilitation
+ The rehab team consists of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy working alongside nursing services.
+ Therapy-led administration.
Patient Population
+ Adults with a variety of complex neurological injuries, spinal cord injuries, polytraumatic, and orthopedic injuries
_Qualifications:_
+ Master’s Degree in Speech Therapy or Speech/Language Pathology
+ Certificate of clinical competence from ASHA
+ One year experience as a Speech Therapist
+ Current state licensure/certification as a Speech Therapist
+ Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred.
+ Experience with dysphagia, and IDDSI diet.
+ Valid driver’s license in good standing
+ Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
+ Effective communication skills to manage relationships
+ A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach
+ A commitment to quality in everything you do
+ Available to work during hours of operation (8am-6pm)
