Job Summary:
- Provide speech therapy services to acute care, rehabilitation, and outpatients in compliance with policies and procedures established by our rehabilitation services department. Provide quality care to individuals and families, and participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of quality assurance programs. In addition, pediatric school-based services will be provided part-time throughout the school year making a positive impact on the children in the community.
- Valid MA state license
- Certificate of Clinical competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Valid driver's license and ability to meet driving requirements required.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support for HealthCare Provider (BLS/HCP).
- New Grad are okay.
- SNF Experience preferred
- Covid test 72 hours prior to start date with results issued 48 hours prior to start date
- Must have training and knowledge in prevention; screening, evaluation, and assessment; planning, implementing, and monitoring intervention; consultation with and education for team members, including families and other professional; service coordination; transition planning; advocacy, awareness and advancement of the knowledge base in early intervention, to treat, and help to prevent communication and swallowing disorders in patients.
- Must work with people in a tactful, diplomatic and professional manner.
- Must be able to remain pleasant and patient, and have good communication skills.
- Highly organized while working and maintains a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Must have the ability to demonstrate effective time management skills while working independently with minimal supervision.
- Computer proficiency required.
- Graduate of a school of speech/language pathology .
