Spring Co-Op - Human Factors Engineer
Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Engineers will participate in aircraft design, development, and certification efforts by participating on design teams, writing and executing test plans, making findings and recommendations, and providing data to show compliance to applicable US and international requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Present human factors requirements and propose solutions during the aircraft design process, including design review, coordination, balancing competing requirements, and teamwork.
+ Perform engineering analysis of test data, make findings, provide recommendations for design improvement.
+ Use human factors evaluation tools such as ergonomic equipment, checklists, surveys, video-tape, and simulation.
+ Prepare and/or review certification ground and flight test plans, certification reports, and other documents for collecting and presenting data to show compliance to applicable US and international requirements.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
+ Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or relative field.
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Professional and diplomatic demeanor
+ Strong sense of accountability and integrity
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Time management skills to support multiple concurrent projects
+ Proficient in use of standard Microsoft Office programs
