Job Description:

Purpose:
Lead Cloud Engineer is responsible for the implementation, 24x7 operational support, automation, availability, and performance management of the Client public cloud platforms.

The candidate is responsible for collaborating with multi-disciplined IT technical teams to manage infrastructure, automation, and applications in the public cloud (Azure, AWS, OCI). They must contribute to cloud readiness evaluations, cloud migration planning, and long-term infrastructure management.

Strong foundational IT skills are required, including Azure Cloud services, Linux/Windows OS, server configurations (networking, storage, security), Data Hub, Containerization. Expertise in Active Directory/Azure AD, DNS, IaaS, PaaS, Containers, etc. is critical.

Collaboration with application, development, database, security, and IT teams is needed to implement automation services across platforms using tools like Azure DevOps and ServiceNow.

Responsibilities:

• Support infrastructure for business-critical applications (Claims Processing, Enrollment, Financial, etc.)
• Manage 99.98%+ availability on a 7x24x365 basis
• Provide On-Call escalation and emergency support
• Azure IaaS Linux/Windows Servers (90%), AWS IaaS Linux/Windows Servers (10%)
• Configure/support Azure services: Entra ID, Conditional Access Policy, Azure Policy, Subscription, vNet, Route Table, Private DNS Zones, NSG, NetApp Files, Backup Service, Key Vault, Load Balancer, App Gateway, Data Factory, Web App Services, Databricks, Storage Blob, File Share
• Cloud migration planning and long-term management
• Implement cloud platforms for high availability, security, and agility
• Implement cost transparency, disaster recovery, business resiliency practices
• Maintain SOP documentation, ensure policy compliance
• Administer Active Directory and Azure AD
• Cloud SAML integration (Azure Enterprise Apps, SSO, SCIM)
• Lead new technology review, design, and implementation

Infrastructure Automation:

• Integrate cloud service catalog into ServiceNow
• Azure builds via Azure DevOps/Terraform/ARM/BICEP automation
• Cross-functional understanding of IT infrastructure automation (network, compute, storage, security)

Project Management:

• Provide project management over infrastructure projects, upgrades
• Use Jira, Agile methodologies for project life cycles
• Develop project plans, tasks, and documentation
• Stay within budget constraints
• Stay current in IT technologies
• Present technical concepts using PowerPoint

Qualification Requirements:

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in IT or equivalent (10+ years)
• 15+ years of IT experience
• 4+ years of Cloud experience
• Expertise in cloud services (Entra ID, Landing Zone)
• Experience with Azure cloud native services
• PowerShell scripting/automation
• Cross-platform IT experience (Server, Network, Storage, Security)
• 24x7 On-Call shift availability

Preferred:

• Azure Architect Certification
