Sr Credit Analyst - Specialty Building Products Holdings, LLC

About the Job
Specialty Building Products is currently looking for a Sr. Credit Analyst to join our VALUES based organization to assess the creditworthiness of individuals, companies, or organizations. Their primary role is to analyze financial data and information to determine the risk associated with extending credit.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
- Monitors credit activity to ensure adherence to company credit/collection policies, practices and procedures through regular interaction with customers
- Makes decisions regarding adjustments to customer accounts and the approval of new accounts based on analysis of financial statements and reference reporting, escalating matters to the Credit Manager when necessary.
- Coordinates collection decisions with management teams and sales departments.
- Provides customer service and develops relationships with internal and external customers.
- Works closely with Credit Management and field leadership to resolve difficult collection cases
- Creates and presents reports to management on account activity and credit related reports
- Monitors performance of their assigned collection accounts on a monthly and annual basis
- Checks in regularly with sales and operations partners to understand the impacts of collection team performance on their customer relationships and satisfaction
Required credentials:
Formal Education and Certification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Business Management required
- 3-5 years' experience as a Sr. Credit Analyst may be substituted for the educational requirement.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of commercial credit and collections
- Knowledge of the building materials industry (Preferred)
- Experience utilizing ERP systems (Preferred)
