Job Title : Sr Engineer, Wiring Harness design & Development

JOB DESCRIPTION
" Participate in initial conceptual development and carefully balance product specifications, process control requirements, component selection, control architecture, cost, limits.
" Design the system Power Distribution, control architecture and system field cabling/interconnect including Process and instrumentation.
" Design Power Distribution System using CAD system
" Design and development of harness deign.
" Responsible to manage and direct technicians to implement electrical works
" Define system interconnect/schematic and Key control/automation components.
" Coordinate with peers in other engineering groups to ensure that the design criteria
are synchronized within all disciplines to meet the requirements.
" Work closely with project managers and electrical team members to ensure all expectations and specifications are translated into the final design.
" Organize and manage offsite engineers' deliverable to ensure meet regulatory, VEECO Standards and equipment specification.
" Execute, implement, and support VEECO Standards and Buy off process.
" Enforce application of VEECO standards, Manage suppliers during specification, design review, design approval.
" Handle the electrical system control and wiring harness development
" Problem solving on any electrical design problem, issue, and best practice solutions.
" Familiarity and hand on troubleshooting Power Distribution and wiring harness Design
" Design electrical control schematic including Cable ASM
" Interface with mechanical team/vendors to support Actuator/stage/motors selection. "

Mandatory skill - Wiring Harness tools such as Solidworks or others
