Position Summary:
Quaker Houghton, the world leader in industrial fluids, providing both high-tech fluid products and fluid management services, is seeking a Senior Accounting Administrator to join our Finance Department to support US and Canadian Business Units. The position will perform complex accounting duties for the Accounts Payable department to meet priorities and achieve deadlines.
What will you do?
- Works with AP Automation Cloud based system along with direct vouchering in ERP JDE to process high volume of vendor invoices efficiently and accurately in accordance with company SOP and SOD controls.
- Draws from complete understanding of general accounting methods to support, investigate, and resolve problems associated with processing of invoices to ensure timely and accurate payment.
- Responds to external and internal invoice and payment inquires daily.
- Support fraud prevention by performing verbal vendor banking verifications as needed.
- Create and reconcile weekly vendor payment batches. This includes intercompany payments and clearings as needed.
- Regularly monitor Unvouchered Receipts over 60 days past due reports. Arrange for clearing by entering internal vouchers to clear.
- System administrator for SAP Concur Expense and Travel interface.
- Pull all required documentations for periodic Internal and External Audit requests.
- Perform 1099 file preparation and submission yearly.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented with superior prioritization and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- JDE experience preferred, or comparable system experience.
- Proficient in MS Office with Intermediate Excel skills
- AP Automation System Preferred
Required Minimum Number of Years of Relevant Experience:
- 5 or more years of accounting with accounts payable experience preferred.
Education, Experience and Training:
- BA/BS Accounting preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
