Job Summary:
The Senior Application Analyst is responsible for developing, implementing, optimizing, supporting, and maintaining applications within Southern States LLC. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the optimization of applications, testing and implementing scheduled vendor releases and system upgrades, fixing system defects, providing technical and functional application analysis, defining system requirements, and developing logical data models using best practices. Ensures the development and implementation of systems applications programs are on time and within budget. Develops short- and long-term applications systems plans that are consistent with the needs and priorities of the business. Must assist the organization in the ERP migration from a legacy system to Microsoft Business Central ERP.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the optimization of applications, testing and implementing scheduled vendor releases and system upgrades, fixing system defects, providing technical and functional application analysis, defining system requirements, and developing logical data models using best practices. Ensures the development and implementation of systems applications programs are on time and within budget. Must assist the organization in the ERP migration from a legacy system to Microsoft Business Central ERP.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Responsible for formulating and defining systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with understanding applicable IT systems and industry requirements under general supervision.
- Assist during the migration path, timeline, implementation and training of MS Business Central.
- Plan, coordinate, and project manage all activities related to the design, development, implementation, and integration of custom-built and Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) software applications and integration tools/processes within MS Business Central and all its corresponding ISV’s, Jet Analytics, Salesforce, and UKG.
- Ensures Azure DevOps (our project management system) active projects are properly tracked.
- Ensures source code is kept up to date in our source control system
- Conduct business process analyses, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefits analyses to align information technology solutions with business needs and initiatives.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Develop a project Dashboard to give leadership visibility of requests and work in progress.
- Actively pursue issue resolution and communicate project status/issues to business stakeholders and operational management.
- Implement a formal Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process for the design, development, testing, and deployment of all organizational software applications.
- Standardize developer tools across the department.
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Min 5 years of Coding Dynamics NAV / D365 Business Central is required to be considered
- AL, C/AL, and C/SIDE coding experience in Business Central
- Integration Experience using APIs, JSONs, REST and WSDL.
- Understand Databases and have Microsoft T-SQL Scripting experience.
- Healthy experience in SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle), releases, code reviews and version control
- Must be able to translate the functional requirements of NAV into a specification for detailed customization
- Must be able to communicate efficiently with users for business requirements
- Must be able to work in a team setting, meet deliverables and deadlines.
- Regularly test software for any bugs and ensure that software meets business requirements
- Be able to document functions and operation of the software that team members can refer to
- Full cycle implementation experience
- PMP certification preferable.
- 10 years’ experience in IT or equivalent, project management, consulting, and business process reengineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
