Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for the coordination and management of projects and inquiries that intersect MODE's technology and business processes. This includes technology implementations and integrations, operational process improvement initiatives, and new customer/business onboardings. In addition to developing, documenting, and implementing business and operational processes and technical solutions, the position will also coordinate relevant system demonstrations and training. They will also be responsible for collecting and analyzing detailed data and metrics to assist in the development of technology plans and strategies that enhance overall business performance, reduce costs, and increase efficiencies. The Sr. Business Systems Analyst role requires expertise in transportation and logistics, transportation management systems, complex technology implementations, data analytics, business requirements and use case documentation, and systems testing.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Developing and maintaining expertise on MODE applications and systems.
- Understanding, and effectively communicating and demonstrating MODE's technical capabilities and functionality.
- Analyzing and documenting business processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Creating and presenting information by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Understanding and documenting the business requirements of stakeholders to guide the creation of effective technology solutions.
- Facilitating communication between business units and IT teams to ensure mutual understanding and project alignment.
- Developing and executing test plans to ensure that systems and processes are functioning as intended.
- Delivering training, documentation, and support to users on new or updated systems and processes.
- Monitoring system performance post-implementation and resolving any issues that arise.
- Coordinating and leading meetings, presentations, and activities to communicate transportation solutions with customers, agents, vendors, management, and other employees.
- Serving on project teams. Leading project workstreams and tasks on large and/or complex customer, system, and business implementation projects.
- Providing input into the overall technology product strategy and roadmap.
- Remaining current on the latest technologies and business strategies, to assist in recommending innovative solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree, or equivalent experience, in Logistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, technology, and/or business systems analyst roles.
- Experience with transportation management systems.
- Proven analytical, process improvement, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of systems implementation processes, with proficiency in requirements development and test plan documentation.
- Experience leading internal and external resources, including customers and vendors.
- Ability to work in a project-based, team environment.
- Strong organization and time management skills. Proficient in multi-tasking to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proactive, goal driven, self-directed, and highly motivated.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Resourceful, quick learner.
- Flexibility to easily adapt to change.
- Working knowledge and demonstrable skills with basic Microsof tools such as Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Visio.
