Project Manager – Federal Projects

Position Overview:

Our client is a GeneralContractor thatspecializesonfederalconstruction contracts. We aresearching for a Project Manager for a long-term project in North Charleston, SC.The Project Manager is responsible for multiple construction projects on Joint Base Charleston.This position is responsible for construction projectsthroughouttheirentirelifecyclefromestimationtocloseout.Projectswillinvolvevarious tradesandsubcontractorsandwillvaryinsize($2,500-$2,000,000),scope,andcomplexity.The idealProjectManagermusthaveawell-roundedconstructionbackground,estimatingexperience, strong problem-solving skills and excellent people skills.

Essential Job Functions:

·Manageprojectsthroughouttheirentirelifecycle

·Createandprocessdocumentationforprojects;to include:

oSubmittal documentation

oProjectLine-ItemEstimatesusingRS Means/e4clicks

oProjectSchedules

oSOWs

oSubcontractor Agreements

oProjectProgressReports

oChange Orders

·Preparemonthlyprogressbillingreportsandcloseoutdocumentation

·Trackcostsand laborforassigned projects

·Coordinate site logistics

·ConductProjectNegotiationsandProject Meetings

·Otherdutiesasassigned

Qualifications:

·Bachelor’sdegreeinconstructionmanagement,engineering,orlikefield preferred

·6-8yearsofconstructionprojectmanagement experience

·3yearsofestimatingexperience

·5yearsconstruction experience

·Previousfederalconstructionexperiencepreferred

·PreviousexperienceonIDIQcontracts preferred

·Abilitytoworkonmilitaryinstallations

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

·Knowledgeofconstructionestimatingsoftware,strategiesand techniques

·Knowledgeofthefederalconstructionindustry,(IDIQ/JOC/SABERexperienceisa plus)
