The ideal candidate must be able to articulate technology and product positioning at the executive, business and technical levels
Sales Engineers are the primary technical support for the field sales force and are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process
They are there to ensure success with all Harness customers and strategize with their sales counterparts to steer customers to a commercial relationship.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESWorld class presentation skills in delivering presentations/demos of our platformAble to work with customers directly to debug common errorsAbility to tie business problems to technical solutionsCapable of understanding and articulating technology value propositionsDrive complex technical engagements with customers to prove the value of Harness solutions ABOUT YOUYou will be responsible for delivering a great product demonstration which tells a story of how our software provides value to our customerYou will be responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.You will remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments on our technologiesYou either actively develop software, have a prior background as a developer, or worked with developers in a DevOps role Strong cloud knowledge, you worked with infrastructure automation such as TerraformYou are able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPsYou are able to convey customer requirements to Engineering teamsYou are able to travel throughout a sales territory with minimal restrictions and occasionally on short noticeWork LocationMust be within commuting distance of New York CityWhat you will have at HarnessCompetitive salaryComprehensive healthcare benefitsFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Flexible work scheduleEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Flexible Time Off and Parental LeaveMonthly, quarterly, and annual social and team building eventsMonthly internet reimbursementThe anticipated base salary range for this position is $170,000 - $185,000 annually
Salary is determined by a combination of factors including location, level, relevant experience, and skills
The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations
The compensation package for this position also includes a commission/variable component, which is based on performance, plus equity, and benefits
