About the Job
Seeking a Sr Fund Accountant role for a great nonprofit organization. In this role, you will be responsible for fund accounting, general ledger, reporting and AP/ AR. If you are seeking an opportunity to make a positive difference in the community, this is the job for you.
What skills you should have:
- Journal entries, monthly bank, account reconciliations and month end close and reporting experience needed.
- You will maintain fixed asset schedules and assist with the annual budget while monitoring year to date data.
- Follows policies and procedures including educating others on the team in these area.
What you will need to be successful:
- 4+ years of accounting experience in a non profit or public school system working with the reporting requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience with Fund Accounting, General ledger, reporting, and functional areas of accounting such as A/P, A/R, and payroll
- Good organizational and time management skills and setting priorities and communicating with the team.
- Strong ethical standard and good sense of confidentiality
- Good systems skills including advanced Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and collaboration skills needed.
