About the Job
Piper Health & Sciences is seeking a Sr. HR/Employee Relations Partner to administer and manage employment life cycle activities and strategic HR planning for a life sciences organization in the Silver Spring, MD area. This is a hybrid role with onsite requirements being 3 times per week.
Responsibilities for the Sr. HR/Employee Relations Partner include:
· Administer employment life cycle activities, including onboarding, offboarding, and performance management.
· Provide consultative guidance to business leaders regarding strategic HR planning across all disciplines, including employee relations and development, and talent management.
· Address any employee complaints/concerns by conducting internal investigations and ensure compliance with company policies and federal/state guidelines.
· Manage conflict resolution by providing guidance, support, and facilitating mediations as needed.
· Track and report employee relations trends to provide recommendations to promote a positive, productive working environment.
· Contribute to the maintaining and development of HR policies and procedural documentation.
Qualifications for the Sr. HR/Employee Relations Partner include:
· A combination of 8+ years of HR professional experience, including 5+ years of direct employee relations experience, is required.
· Strong knowledge and understanding of state and federal employment law, including ADAAA, FMLA, FLSA, EEO, etc.
· Proven ability implementing effective solutions to challenging employee issues with the goal of improving positivity and productivity.
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related degree is required.
· PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.
Compensation for the Sr. HR/Employee Relations Partner includes:
· Salary Range: approximately $120,000 - $140,000 annually, commensurate with experience
