Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage a team of 15 software engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions in line with business objectives and timelines.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, design, and other engineering teams to define, design, and ship new features.
3. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications while adhering to best practices for testing, deployment, and release.
4. Implement and maintain continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure a seamless and efficient development process.
5. Drive the adoption of new technologies and practices such as React, Node, AWS, GraphQL, Azure, NoSQL, and Agile methodologies.
6. Create and execute strategies for risk mitigation, disaster recovery, and data protection.
7. Foster a culture of innovation, transparency, and accountability in the engineering team.
8. Continually enhance technical knowledge within teams and strive to be an authority in your area of expertise.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior software engineering management role.
3. Proven experience in the healthcare or medical industry, is a plus.
4. Strong experience with technologies such as React, Node, AWS, GraphQL, Azure, NoSQL, and Agile methodologies.
5. Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of managing and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.
6. Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and drive them to completion.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
8. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
9. Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and experience implementing them in a professional setting.
