About the Job
TEKsystems is partnering with a local client in search of a Sr. Network Engineer. This person would be responsible for owning network design and engineering.
The company is in the process of deploying SD-WAN, deciding which vendor to select, and the new network engineer will need to help with that transition. This person will be someone who can document and adhere to standards with Cisco Wireless, separation of IT and OT and level 3 support of phone systems.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Maintain and administer Cisco computer networks including hardware and configurations.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolving hardware and other network and system problems.
- Replacing faulty network hardware components when required.
- Defining and monitoring network performance.
- Work with end users about solving existing network issues.
- Leading implementations of new network solutions and/or improve the efficiency of current networks
- Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers, switches, and wireless environment.
- Arrange scheduled upgrades of network equipment to the latest firmware releases.
- Investigating faults in the network
