Sr. Network Field Engineer

- Do you have Python scripting/ Ansible experience?
- Are you able to come onsite 5 daysa week?
- Please confirm you have the following-
- Cisco or similar Certifications - Cisco CCNP or similar (Must have)
- Cisco Routing, Switching (Catalyst and Nexus), Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco ASA, Firepower,
- TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, IPS, SDWAN, DMVPN, NAC and 802.1x deployment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
This position has responsibility and authority for:
- Monitor, manage, troubleshoot, and support Network infrastructure related tickets globally.
- Partner and work with Sunnyvale team to obtain knowledge in new technologies, setup, and architecture related topics.
- Document new operational issues and solutions from field and transfer knowledge to team members.
- Support in new Network infrastructure provisioning and de-provisioning
- Provide Root cause analysis to production outages as required
- Support Infoblox IPAM provisioning and DNS related activities.
- Administer Cisco (Routing, Switching, Wireless) and Riverbed infrastructure.
- Administer Solarwinds / Orion, Cisco Prime Servers and support day to day operations.
- Adhere to IT access-management and change control procedures.
- Receive and respond to escalations from Desktop Support and field support team. Escalate issues to management, if necessary.
- Collaborate with team members and mentor junior staff to execute the IT strategy in a cost effective and timely manner.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices in risk management techniques and integrate new methods and tools as appropriate.
- Support other areas of technology supported by Security team (Network Access Control, Firewalls, Single-Sign on - Okta, Logic Monitor, and SNMP based monitoring).
- Network and Firewall OS patching, monitoring and alerting.
- Overall 8+ years with 5 years+ support in Network and IT Security
- Cisco or similar Certifications - Cisco CCNP or similar (Must have)
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Cisco Routing, Switching (Catalyst and Nexus), Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco ASA, Firepower,TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, IPS, SDWAN, DMVPN, NAC and 802.1x deployment.
- Experience in Python scripting, Ansible automation or similar technology is a huge plus.
