Sr. Network Specialist - Zachary Piper LLC

Piper Companies is currently searching for a Sr Network Specialist to work on-site in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD for a leader in providing premier support to defense and civilian government agencies across the United States.

Responsibilities for the Sr Network Specialist include:

·      Designs, builds, and implements network systems.

·      Analyzes network traffic and provides capacity planning solutions.

·      Monitors and responds to complex technical control facility hardware and software problems.

·      Provides the routine testing and analysis of all elements of the network facilities (including power, software, communications machinery, lines, modems, and terminals).

·      Monitors and responds to hardware, software, and network problems.

Supervises complex operations that involve two or more additional functions.

·      Provides assistance and oversight for all information systems operations activities, including

o  computer and telecommunications/communications operations

o  data entry

o  data control

o  LAN/MAN/WAN administration and operations support

o  operating systems programming

o  system security policy procedures

·      Plans large-scale systems projects through vendor comparison and cost studies.

·      Troubleshoots network systems when necessary and makes improvements to the network

Required Qualifications for the Sr Network Specialist include:

·      Bachelor’s in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related field is required.

·      Four years (4+) of relevant technical experience is required.

·      Intermediate-to-advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite—Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Compensation for the Sr Network Specialist include:

·       $110,000 - $121,000 Base Salary
