Job Details
Currently they are looking to add a talented Project Manager to their team with experience managing commercial construction projects that are in the $5+ million range.
Responsibilities:
- Sets a common vision and enable team members to be successful and able to identify their goals and individual contributions to a project.
- Manage quality and work site safety to achieve zero accidents and ensure quality goals are met.
- Resolves stakeholder and team conflicts and reestablish a collaborative work environment.
- Develops and effectively implements a stakeholder engagement plan to build trust at all levels.
- Interacts with the client for monthly billing and schedule buy-in.
- Ensures timely and accurate submittal of invoices. Monitoring and reporting of the status of accounts receivable and recommends appropriate action on overdue accounts.
- Integrates compliance procedures for the project with both the site and office team comprehending provisions for acquiring permits, insurance, labor affidavits, bonds, etc.
- Expedite and improve the efficiency for the construction process through professional planning and execution of project activities.
- Identifies value-creation opportunities during bid and/or early project phase.
- Assists with proposal efforts, including costing and profitability planning.
- Encourage professionalism, teamwork, and ownership.
- Proactively manage and resolve key problems that affect scope of work.
- Provide fair, fast, inclusive, and timely decision making.
- Proactively drives resolution procedures for all stakeholders.
- Lead a collaborative culture of partnership with subcontractors.
- Strong close-out capabilities to obtain occupancy by proactively working with the team for commissioning, training and close-out documentation.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree, PMP and/or CCM preferred.
- 5+ years of experience on projects over $5M in value
- Knowledge of construction management practices and accounting principles are essential, pre-construction knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred technical skills; MS Project; Bluebeam; MS Office, excel, outlook, word; ProCore; Windows
