About the Job
THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:
- Developing, implementing and monitoring regional business plans to meet agreed budget
- Translating business strategy and objectives into tactical plans that meet/exceed yearly goals in sales quota, growth, direct contribution, and gross margin by leveraging existing resources
- Monitors sales pipeline for all major products, taking corrective action where needed.
- Preparing proposals and facilitating all requests for quotes
- Develop and achieve annual budgeted sales
- Develop relationships with key customers, opinion leaders, sales personnel and management to obtain and provide technical, professional and managerial support for our products to increase and maximize sales profits
- Accurately completing proposals and drafting sales contracts. Presenting product information to increase and maintain sales
- Leading and motivating the Sales team to meet agreed targets and objectives.
- Hiring, training, and retaining employees. Provides developmental guidance to direct reports and ensures adequate coaching
- Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly. Allocates yearly forecast among individual US territories. Monitors and reports monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast against plan.
- Establishing and maintaining new and existing customers through company visits and contact calls
- Developing access to decision makers in Accountable Care Organizations, Corporate Health Networks, and Reference Labs
- Closing corporate purchasing agreements that include HYCOR products as a preferred system within the network
- Acquiring national contracts with the major Group Purchasing Organizations, National Reference Labs, Regional Reference Labs and IHNs
- Developing business strategies to grow existing and new business in line with company strategies
- Establishing relationships with large medical distribution companies to facilitate the listing of HYCOR brands in their electronic and print catalogs
- Training network and distributor sales staff on products, demonstrations, and prospect calls
- Completing call reports, sales forecasting, and assisting with maintaining competitor data files and comparisons with Product Marketing Manager
Education: | Bachelor’s degree in science or equivalent experience; MBA preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:
| Valid Driver’s License with good driving record
|
Skills/Abilities: | Ability to travel approximately 75 - 80% of time for this position. Ability to work independently. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to distinguish and communicate the value of HYCOR products vs. competitors. Ability to influence the decision makers to specify HYCOR products in corporate purchasing programs.

Experience: | 10+ years in field sales. Knowledge of the IVD industry preferred (major competitors, products, and knowledge end user competitive features). Experience in developing new accounts, setting up budgets and delivering presentations with a cost-benefit orientation. |
