Description AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) are technologists with deep domain-specific expertise, able to address advanced concepts, and feature designs. As part of the AWS sales organization, SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expert-level knowledge to solve. SSAs craft secure, scalable, and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges. We are seeking an experienced Security Specialist SA to drive large-scale migration and modernization of technology infrastructure and applications to AWS. Advocate internally and externally on behalf of AWS. You are highly motivated and have the ability to work closely and constructively with cross-functional teams engaging with C-level executives and influencers at all levels. \#aws-ags-ANZ Key job responsibilities - Apply your advanced technical expertise and experience in Security architecture and philosophy to unblock our customers' largest and most critical business challenges. - Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap. - Act as a thought leader, sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re:Invent, etc. - Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures. A day in the life Meet with customers and their account managers and solution architects for the largest and most strategic customer accounts to discuss opportunities to transform their workloads with AWS. Discuss the same opportunities with supporting AWS service specialist teams, cloud economics and partner teams to fine tune architectures, solutions and migration strategies. Share updates on customer trends with the team and key stakeholders before celebrating with the extended team in a collaborative and hybrid working environment. Basic Qualifications - 6+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience - 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience - 3+ years of technology/software sales experience - Experience with architecting, building and operating platforms and workloads that are secure by design - History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises - Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers. Preferred Qualifications - 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience - Knowledge of cloud architecture - Strong data-based storytelling skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives and technologists - Cloud expertise as demonstrated by one or more cloud certifications (AWS Security Speciality) - Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly - Proficiency with design, deployment, and evaluation of AWS and/or 3rd party security solutions - Ability to break through customer inertia by demonstrating ease of adoption and migration Acknowledgement of country: In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
