Summary:
Senior Statistician with mathematics, statistics, and design of experiments expertise to support the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
- Position supports the TSA's Requirements and Capabilities Analysis (RCA), Requirements, Human Performance, and Engineering Division (RHPED).
- Candidate will work as key personnel to provide expert mathematical and statistical methodology support for translation of data associated with detection requirements establishment, translation of probability of detection and false alarm, statistical design of experiment (DoE) support, and data analysis for test execution and data collection activities.
- This position includes a telework or fully remote option; however, preference will be given to local (Springfield, VA) candidates.

Candidate must possess the following:
- PhD preferred, Bachelor’s OR Master’s degree required in Mathematics, Experimental Psychology, or other related discipline.
- Minimum of five years of experience in related test design.
- Experience in experimental design and methodology to include defining goals, metrics, factors, and levels and support informing test analysis.
- Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis. Knowledge of statistical methods and analytic procedures to include a strategic method for varying factors and levels across scenarios and appropriate statistical power and confidence levels.
- Preference for knowledge and experience with the transportation security domain.
- Candidates must be eligible for security clearance and be able to pass the Department of Homeland Security’s financial responsibility standards.
