Responsibilities
- Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of the Client TACCOM virtual and physical systems
- Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers / clients, and integrate automation processes.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
- Research and provide documentation and technical specifications to the engineering team for planning and implementing new software or upgrades to the existing TACCOM systems
- Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
- Provide helpdesk support, making sure all TACCOM applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
- Develop Systems Install Procedure (SIP) to be used by Client personnel to deploy TACCOM systems during Annual Release Events (ARE) and upgrades at remote locations
- System Administrator experience with TACCOM systems
- Air simulation Tool (ASTA-J)
- Processing Display Subsystem Migration (PDSM)
- Tactical Package Generator (TPG)
- Tactical Receive Segment (TRS)
- Joint Range Extension Gateway (JRE)
- Air Defense System Integrator (ADSI)
- Combat Track II (CTII)
