Staff Accountant - EG Professional

Our client is seeking a well-rounded Staff Accountant to join the team in Battle Creek, MI. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for various financial and administrative tasks, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data. This full-time, permanent position offers a great opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and supportive team. You will interact regularly service technicians, electricians, customers, and vendor sales associates. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage incoming phone calls through an automated phone system.
• Oversee billing operations including large non-contract customers, Time & Materials (T&M) and service billing.
• Collaborate with internal teams to manage billing processes.
• Coordinate service work, including phone-based management of service requests.
• Prepare bank deposits and conduct regular financial reporting, such as Job/Reports and Accounts Receivable (AR) Aging Reports.
• Manage collections activities.
• Handle office supply orders.
• Provide administrative support and assist with other projects as needed.
• Cross-train in various accounting functions such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Payroll.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 5-10 years of accounting experience required.
• Experience in electrical accounting or construction/trades background preferred.
• Familiarity with Foundation accounting software is a plus.
• CPA certification is a plus but not required.
