Staff Accountant Opportunity in Brewster, NY

CFS has partnered with a private equity-backed organization looking to bring a motivated Staff Accountant onto their team in Brewster, NY! This position offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $70,000.

Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

• Prepare journal entries, financial statements, account reconciliations, and conduct financial analysis.
• Support month-end close processes, including managing the general ledger and accounts receivable.
• Review financial results and prepare variance analysis, identifying trends and comparing to budget.
• Recommend process improvements to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance revenue.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual covenant reporting.
• Support provider payroll calculations and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare documentation for external audits.
• Participate in special projects and handle additional tasks as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications of the Staff Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong analytical and mathematical capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
