Position Overview:
The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in managing fixed asset accounting and supporting bank funding activities
This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:Manage the fixed asset accounting process, including asset acquisition, depreciation, and disposals
Maintain fixed asset registers and ensure accurate and timely reporting in compliance with company policies
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements related to fixed assets
Support bank funding operations by preparing necessary documentation, tracking funding requests, and coordinating with financial institutions
Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies as they arise
Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and ensure accurate financial reporting
Provide support for audits, both internal and external, related to fixed assets and bank funding
Stay informed on accounting standards and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a focus on fixed assets and bank funding
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles related to fixed asset management
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
licensure and certification requirements;
office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure
The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
