We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Permanent Staff Accountant to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals and play a key role in our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a range of financial duties including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, and ad-hoc reporting. You will be expected to adhere to US GAAP standards and utilize power bi for data analysis and reporting. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience and is perfect for a motivated individual who is ready to take their career to the next level.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliation in compliance with US GAAP.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; assist with regulatory reporting as applicable.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Analyze financial reports for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO’s attention.
- Review and improve accounting and financial procedures and policies to enhance the workflow and functionality of the department.
- Conduct ad-hoc reporting and data analysis using power bi to support decision-making processes.
- Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set-up.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or related field.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills in Excel.
- Experience with power bi or similar data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
- Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliation.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
