Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
1. Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
2. Coordinating and executing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
3. Preparing and analyzing financial reports, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective measures.
4. Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting process controls.
5. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
6. Conducting regular account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
7. Assisting in the preparation of budget forecasts and financial planning.
8. Ensuring compliance with all internal policies and relevant regulations, and keeping abreast of any changes to laws and regulations affecting the finance industry.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Staff Accountant role will possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
3. Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and account reconciliation.
4. Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
5. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting software.
6. Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, to meet deadlines and provide high-quality work under pressure.
