HEICO is currently recruiting a Staff Accountant for its Corporate Team based in Hollywood, Florida. In this position, the Staff Accountant will likely:
* Be primarily assisting with the books and records of multiple corporate departments which include but are not limited to preparation of month-end closing entries, account and inter-company reconciliations, daily cash reconciliations, and invoice coding.
* Understand and assist in the preparation and ongoing support of various allocations to the operating entities.
* Provide guidance and support for our consolidation reporting (Cognos / Planning & Analytics) and Fixed Asset Software (FAS) packages.
* Prepare supporting schedules for internal and external (SEC) reporting.
* Assist with various projects geared toward supporting our Corporate Finance Team such as testing of corporate level Sox Controls such as compliance with our A/R reserve policy, counting of physical inventory, and other subsidiary support functions.
* Assist with banking administration, which includes bank paperwork preparation for new bank accounts and changes in check signers.
Requirements/Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
* 1 - 2 years of experience in financial accounting preferred.
* Strong work ethic (willingness to work hard and long hours, when needed).
* Strong Excel skills preferred. General working knowledge of ERP reporting packages are a plus.
* Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with subsidiary controllers and employees of all levels, including senior management.
* Highly responsive to customer requirements, with a high attention for detail and accuracy.
* Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Must be flexible and able to multi-task in a time-sensitive environment.
