Staff Accountant-Hybrid - Arkansas Talent Group

Arkansas Talent Group is searching for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with 1-3+ years of experience to join our clients accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and reports. This is a mostly REMOTE (HYBRID) position located in Little Rock, Ar.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Ledger Management: Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and categorized.
• Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Month-End and Year-End Closures: Assist in the preparation and execution of month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and assistance during internal and external audits.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems for greater efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting.
• 1-3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a mid to large-sized company.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial reconciliations and general ledger management.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in work.
