Staff Accountant II Job Overview
As a Staff Accountant II, you will engage in professional accounting duties, encompassing the examination, analysis, maintenance, reconciliation, and verification of financial records
You will also perform related tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly journal entries
Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, including intercompany and bank accounts
Assist in the preparation and review of the annual budget and quarterly updates
Participate in the monthly analysis and reporting of financial statements
Assist with biweekly payroll processing, including sales commissions
Ensure adherence to company accounting policies and procedures
Support internal and external audit processes as required
Perform additional duties as assigned

About You:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Proficiency in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and practices
Preferably experienced in homebuilding and job costing
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy
Capability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong analytical skills

Job Responsibilities:
This role is non-exempt under wage-hour law, requiring time records and eligibility for overtime pay.
Essential Functions:
Report to the Division/Corporate Office/Community daily and adhere to the schedule
Access, input, and retrieve information from computers or electronic devices
Engage in face-to-face interactions with customers, coworkers, and managers
Sit or stand for extended periods and move around the work environment as needed
Operate a motor vehicle if necessary
Comply with company policies and procedures
Physical Demands:
Ability to remain stationary for up to 50% of the time
Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
