Job Details
The Staff Accountant will perform and work on assigned tasks with a minimum of assistance. You will report to the Senior Tax Staff and the Tax Manager.
Responsibilities
- Prepares various tax returns for federal | state returns for partnerships, C-corporations, S-corporations, and individuals.
- Responsible for tax compliance and client management, including direct client contact as directed by management.
- Assist Manager and Partner with IRS audits
- Responses to tax notices, or other returns needed to achieve outstanding client service.
- Demonstrates competency in technical skills, work quality, and application of professional and Firm standards.
- Meet time constraints and client deadlines.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Proficiency in the use of computers and accounting & tax software programs.
- Accounting and financial statement preparation required.
- Experience with Lacerte Tax Software and QuickBooks, a plus.
- CPA Eligible or CPA Licensed.
- Well-rounded knowledge of current taxation codes and regulations.
- Ability to organize work and projects, prioritize and meet deadlines, and complete work efficiently and accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
