Staff Accountant - Ultimate Staffing Services

Position overview:

• Assist in preparation of annual budget and forecasts.
• Ensure the timely payment of invoices.
• Post journal entries, cash receipts, and billings to the general ledger.
• Prepare the monthly reconciliation of key general ledger accounts to subsidiary ledgers for the following: work in progress (WIP), inter-company receivable/payable, property and equipment, investments in consolidated subsidiaries, notes receivable/payable, capital accounts and key revenue and expense accounts.
• Update each entities work papers with the financial activity for the month.
• Reconcile bank and investment statements for assigned accounts.
• Generate financial statements to be reviewed by the Director of Accounting and VP of Finance, distribute monthly financial statements to the appropriate department heads and CPA firm.
• Maintain real estate tax schedule and ensure the timely payment of all real estate tax bills.
• Prepare monthly reports submitted to public partners.
• Assist the Director of Accounting and VP of Finance with any special assignments as needed.
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
