Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring the integrity of financial information.
- Provide comprehensive reports, offering valuable insights to support decision-making processes.
- Process accounts payable invoices and promptly respond to inquiries and requests from vendors and internal departments.
- Upload daily bank cash files into the general ledger system, maintaining accurate financial records.
- Collaborate with various internal departments to prepare and key journal entries for monthly intercompany invoices.
- Assist with monthly forecast updates and annual budgeting process to ensure financial stability and growth.
- Discover areas for streamlining processes and effectively implement changes to improve the accuracy of financial information.
- Liaise and build relationships with department leaders to understand cross-functional impacts of transactions.
- Provide support during audits, tax requests, financial reporting, Sox compliance, and other special projects.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA eligible.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications and a keen interest in learning new technology.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to effectively manage various responsibilities autonomously within specified monthly deadlines.
- Attention to detail, organized and thorough, with a desire for continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Working knowledge of JD Edwards & HFM.
