Staff Accountant
Basic purpose of position:
The Staff Accountant will support the Controller in handling the day-to-day and monthly billing, inventory and journal entries to ensure accurate financials and a timely month-end close.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare, process and maintain data for A/R billing/contract billing per contract terms ensuring accurate preparation of all documentation and reconciliation required.
- Manage the inventory process with each site. Enter and maintain the proper recording of the inventory. Reconcile and review the inventory monthly for proper agreement between the sub-ledger and ledger.
- Prepare general ledger month-end closing entries along with maintain subsidiary journals to support account balance.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and verify accuracy of data as assigned.
- Reconcile accuracy of billing on the monthly basis.
- Review and reconcile month end site level P&L for accuracy and performance to plan.
- Support timely monthly financial close and or reporting including assigned journals entries
- Assist with the process of gathering the requested documentation for the annual audit.
- Monitor and/or complete special projects and meet certain deadlines

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Experience Requirements: Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience and must be able to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Physical, Mental & Sensory Requirements:
- Must be able to hear and communicate conversations spoken in a normal voice
- Ability to communicate using various types of equipment as well as view and change data on a standard computer for periods of time greater than 1 hour daily
- Must be able to work independently and to simultaneously handle multiple tasks
- Good reasoning ability is required to solve a wide range of business problems. Able to apply statistical calculations, analysis of variance
