Staff Accountant

CFS of New York is working with a well-established Engineering firm seeking a Staff Accountant to join their firm
Our client has completed projects nationwide and is continuing to expand. They pride themselves on creating not only beautiful design, but energy efficient engineering
This role reports to the CFO with opportunities for future growth
Hybrid position, 3 days on site, 2 days remote with flexibility

Responsibilities:

Manage Accounts Payable process via vendor portals, match invoices to purchase orders, obtain approvals, process for payment
AR/Collections and billing responsibilities, ensure timely statements are sent to customers
Assist with month end closing activities including bank reconciliations, journal entries and assist with preparation of financial statements
Communicate with Principles / Management daily regarding business operations
