We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining and controlling the financial transactions and strategy of our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent attention to detail and a passion for achieving financial objectives. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Staff Accountant, you will:
1. Manage and oversee the entire accounts payable process.
2. Supervise payables to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, credit memos and payment transactions.
3. Ensure the month-end close process is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
4. Perform monthly financial close functions through preparation and posting of journal entries.
5. Reconcile all balance sheet and income statement accounts on a monthly basis.
6. Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive implementation of solutions.
7. Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
8. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
9. Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Staff Accountant position will have:
1. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
3. Proven experience in managing accounts payables and supervising payables.
4. Solid experience in month-end close reconciliations.
5. Demonstrated success in process improvements and strategic problem-solving.
6. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
7. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and accounting software.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
11. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
12. CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not required.
