Staff Accountant - Apple Roofing

• Ownership of general ledger
• Maintain organized accounting files and supporting workpapers
• Assist with monthly journal entries
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Complete month-end and year-end close tasks timely
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements for accuracy and compliance with GAAP
• Prepare documents for audits and assist with audit requests
• Ability to work efficiently with company accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Ad hoc reporting and projects
• Provide support to leadership team of the company

Requirements

• Bachelors degree (Accounting concentration preferred)
• 1-2 years of professional accounting experience
• CPA or CPA candidate is a plus
• Excellent use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel; very good with spreadsheets
• Knowledge of an accounting information system is a plus
• Attention to detail
• Strong organizational and communication skills
