We are seeking a seasoned expert to join our team, lead technical development and push the limits of design
This is a demanding role with close cross-functional collaboration between several departments
Responsibilities:Owns battery module development at Lucid from concept through productionDesign with excellence at system and component level, with great attention to every detailOptimize mechanical designs for performance, size, weight, durability and costThink creatively and apply first-principle engineering to solve tricky problemsRequirements:Background in HV battery designPrevious ownership of complex parts that have shipped in volumeStrong understanding of manufacturing processes and material selectionMastery of mechanical technical fundamentalsA flair for creative design with a critical approach to solving tricky problemsExperience in a previous technical leadership or mentorship roleDemonstrate previous cross-functional collaboration to solve problemsDesign release engineering experienceA desire to work hard and push boundariesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred 7+ years’ experience designing HV Battery componentsEducation BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degreeMaster's/PhD PreferredSalary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k
The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs
